STYLE: Bourbon barrel-aged cider INGREDIENTS: Apples and yeast BARREL-AGING: Bourbon barrels AVAILABLE FORMATS: Draft & 500ml bottles ABV: 6.8% |
The Mitten has notes of vanilla, caramel, and charred American oak, balanced with the best of the orchard, overripe apples and their sweet, tart, earth juice. Many barrels are filled, but only the smoothest will find its way to the final blend of The Mitten. TASTING NOTES: A balanced blend of charred bourbon and high-acid apple flavors, The Mitten is a medium-bodied semi-dry cider with low tannins and a buttery mouthfeel. Pronounced notes of vanilla and wood mingle with overripe apple and maple flavors to create a warm feel. FOOD PAIRING: The Mitten pairs well with a holiday ham served with sweet potato gratin. It also goes great with a country pâté, anything bacon, old-fashioned doughnuts, or sharp and salty blue cheese. |
