Orchard Cider

Today we pressed a full 60 gallons of juice from apples harvested exclusively here on the farm. This cider is a blend of Arkansas Black, Spy, crabapples, and a couple of unknown older varietals from trees on our property that pre-date Virtue Cider. This juice is going to natively ferment and age in French oak barrels. We can't wait to see how the cider turns out — but patience is indeed a virtue of all cidermakers, so we'll have to.
