The Green City Market Chef BBQ is one of Chicago’s most anticipated food events of the summer! Virtue Cider will be back again, representing with our ciders as well as food prepared by our culinary team!
Over 100 of Chicago’s top restaurants and beverage purveyors provide tasting portions of local, sustainable heirloom produce, heritage meats, and craft beverages sourced from Green City Market farmers. Enjoy the beautiful summer setting in Lincoln Park and interact with chefs and beverage purveyors while enjoying market-inspired creations that highlight the best of the Midwest. Guests will find both vegetarian and meat dishes.
Our VIP attendees receive early admission privileges along with special access to additional restaurant offerings, private bar areas, wait staff, premium restrooms, multiple lounge areas and communal seating. Seating is available unassigned or at reserved tables. Guests will be prompted for seating options prior to checkout.

Green City Market is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization founded in 1998 that creates a sustainable food system in Chicago through farmers markets, outreach, access, and educational programming. Green City Market values education about quality food and its source, the preservation of sustainably farmed land, a vibrant thriving community of local farms, and consumption of locally grown foods. Green City Market operates multiple year-round market locations throughout Chicago. Additionally, Green City Market offers robust educational programming and increased access to healthy, sustainable food both at-market and across Chicagoland. All funds raised by the Chef BBQ go directly to support GCM's education and access initiatives including our Link/SNAP Matching Program, Club Sprouts, The Edible Gardens, Chef Demonstrations, Compost Program, Edible Education Program, and our Produce Box Program.
